Nandini’s Story – A Brave Little Girl’s Battle

“She’s just a child with big dreams… but a rare condition has made her journey incredibly tough.”
At Samaj Janseva Foundation, we recently came across the heartbreaking case of Nandini Patil, a young girl fighting a serious medical condition. Nandini has been diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis Type 1, which has led to a severe spinal deformity known as right scoliosis. Her spine has curved abnormally, making everyday life painful and difficult. You can see in the photo how bravely she is standing against her suffering.

Currently, Nandini is undergoing treatment at Wadia Hospital in Parel, Mumbai. Doctors have recommended urgent spinal surgery to ease her condition and prevent further complications. The estimated cost of her treatment is ₹2 lakhs (or possibly more).
Nandini's father is a daily wage laborer with very limited income. The family is struggling to meet the high cost of this critical treatment.
