Shubham’s Story – A Little Life Fighting a Big Battle…

Shubham Hemant Chordekar is just 8 years old. But unlike other children his age, his life has not been easy. Doctors have diagnosed him with Profound Intellectual Disability, which means he has a 100% permanent brain-related disability.

Shubham faces severe difficulties in speaking, understanding, and even doing basic day-to-day tasks. His mental development is very limited, and he requires constant support and care.

Currently, Shubham is undergoing treatment at Wadia Hospital, Mumbai, where he is taken regularly for OPD visits and checkups. His monthly medical expenses — including consultations, medicines, therapies, and travel — come to around ₹5,000 to ₹8,000.
His parents come from a modest background and are struggling to meet the growing medical costs. Despite their challenges, they are doing everything they can to give Shubham a better life.
